I forgot to put this in the post from the other day. As I said before Megan's date of discharge is June 28th, which is pretty soon! I wanted to add that their goals for Megan are for her to be able to walk on her own with someone watching her. They also want her to be able to move both arms. Speech is also expected to improve as well. These are big goals to achieve, but I think Megan can do them.
My dad was sitting with Megan this morning. He was massaging her right hand and wrist area, and she just picked up her right hand (something she hadn't done before). It surprised both Megan and my Dad. She wasn't thinking about it and it just kind of happened. She was looking at her nails and all of a sudden she picked up her hand! Hopefully that means more movement will come soon.
Today was a pretty relaxing day for Megan. She had a couple friends visit, but it was mostly a day for seeing family. Unfortunately, I could not make it. I was attending graduation at AB, but the rest of the family and my Aunt Pam got to spend time with her and even had a picnic down by the water. The said it was a very nice day!
Tomorrow Megan has OT, Speech, and two PT sessions. It will be a tough day, but she'll definitely be up for the challenge.
